


In September, I attended my first (and hopefully not last) Filipino wedding. The ceremony was beautiful and I was thrilled to be one of the bridesmaids. One of my bridesmaid duties was pinning the veil on the bride’s hair during the ceremony. I was not informed until a few minutes before the ceremony began…haha, but it’s all good.

You cannot escape Karaoke in the Philippines, even when you venture outside of the city into the provinces. There will always be Karaoke in the Philippines.

Some friends from Malaysia came to visit and join our weekly outreach. They had fun on the jeepneys.

When my parents came to visit in October, we got to hang out with Dama’s mom. I think that all of my friends are pretty awesome, and I love meeting their parents…because since my friends are so awesome, the people who supplied their genetics and their upbringing are most certainly awesome as well.

It’s true. How many times has my heart been broken this year? I’ve lost track. But one thing I am certain of is that God has been with me the whole time, and I have felt His presence closely when my heart was aching.
