Dama and I made red velvet cupcakes for the Samaritana community. They were delicious! One of the coolest parts of being in the Philippines has been spending time with Dama and her family. They are pretty awesome, and I’m thankful to have met them.

The women at Samaritana performing a special number during the International Christian Alliance on Prostitution conference. That conference changed my life- I am still trying to understand and process some of the things I learned, and it’s been over a year since then.

I made a birthday cake for my host brother when he turned 12, 2 days after I turned 22.

I got to visit China with my mom in February. It was so wonderful for her to show me all around the older parts of Wuhan and to re-live her past with her.

I also reconnected with my Dad’s family in rural China. I hadn’t seen them in over 5 years…so it was good to find out that they’re mostly doing much better than they were the last time I’d heard from them.
